根據調查問卷數據統計的結果,關於被調查者對手機品牌的信息獲得途徑如(圖三)所示,此圖描繪了顧客對三星、波導、摩托羅拉三個品牌信息獲得途徑的差異,從圖中可以看出三星、摩托羅拉兩個品牌的柱形比較相似,波導在雜志上投放廣告的力度較小;在家電商場力度較大,這個和波導手機的定位有一定關系,波導手機定位在中、低檔次,一般在雜志廣告推銷的是較高檔的手機。波導這樣的廣告策略是很有道理的。

產品的購買和使用
本次調查中所收回的100份有效樣本中,目前擁有、使用手機的學生有89人,佔全部樣本的數89%;目前尚未使用手機的人11人,佔全部樣本數的11%。有近九成的學生已經有了手機,這個比例是非常高的。
在89名使用手機的學生中,手機品牌分布如(圖四)所示,從圖中可以看出,摩托羅,諾基亞,三星一共佔了67%,這三個品牌成為學生選購的主要對象。波導佔7%,相對與他的高認知率形成鮮明的對比;而多普達的廣告認知率非常低,但是佔有率卻有10%。一共有16人使用的手機是國產品牌,其餘73人使用的是國外品牌。由此看出,現在的學生手機市場,較大部分是被國外品牌所佔領,學生喜歡的國內手機品牌寥寥無幾。

(二)學生消費者購買手機的准則和特點
大學生購買手機主要考慮因素是時尚個性化款式、功能、價格、品牌等,這也成為學生購買手機的四個基本准則。在調查中表明,大學生選擇手機時最看重的是手機的外觀設計,如形狀、大小、厚薄、材料、顏色等,佔45%;但大學生也並非一味追求外表漂亮,「內涵」也很重要,所以手機功能也佔有一席之位,佔40%;其次看重的是價格,而較少看重的是品牌,看來現在的大學生還是比較看重實際的。
根據以上分析,我們認為手機廠商如果明白學生購買手機的主要用途和潛在 需求利益,結合學生特點再在手機功能上下一些功夫,這樣設計生產出來的產品將會更容易贏得這一塊市場。

所以我們提出以下學生手機概念:學生手機就是在功能上能夠為學生的生活學習提供方便,在外觀上為學生所喜愛,在價格上能夠為大部分學生所接受。
其產品的基本特點有(可參考):
時尚: 個性化的外觀設計和功能搭配,時尚的款式和顏色。
實用: 電子詞典(漢英互譯),電子書(可下載),超強簡訊息,學生用計算器,筆記薄記錄本(可儲存公式或其他筆記),智能時間表(計時、提醒)。智能中文輸入、來電顯示、、電話簿檢索、鬧鍾功能、內置震動和振鈴、和弦音樂、智力游戲等。
價廉: 3年的保證使用壽命(更新快),更加實用的功能組合,手機成本低;依託小靈通設計,話費便宜實在。
環保 :手機發射功率極低,輻射極少,對人體無傷害以保護學生的大腦,健康成就未來。
而縱觀整個手機市場,目前還沒有真正定位於學生的具有時尚、實用、價廉、環保特色的手機產品,所以學生市場還存在這樣的市場空白,廠商若能夠抓住這個機遇定會獲得巨大的發展。
四、小結
綜上所述,學生市場是手機市場中的一塊大蛋糕,學生對真正的學生手機有著巨大的需求空間,作為一個企業主體,市場需求是第一位的,客戶就是上帝,在買方市場下尤其如此。一位經濟學家說過,對於市場需求,如果不是想方設法地去滿足,那它就是白痴的企業。對於企業來說,只要存在市場需求,就必須想方設法去滿足,這樣企業才有生機,才能達到效益最大化。
同時,我們知道「第一」勝過「更好」。創造一種新產品,在人們心目中先入為主,比起努力使人們相信你可以比產品首創者提供更好的產品要容易得多。人們對第一印象深刻,對第二、第三卻沒有興趣。我們能記住世界上最高的山峰,但對第二高的山峰卻印象淡薄。顧客永遠是對的,我們無權責備他們,只有盡量的去滿足他們,我們才能夠取得盡快和長遠的發展。
所以,哪個廠商若能夠率先設計生產並推出真正的學生手機,那麼他們就一定能在學生手機市場乃至整個手機市場上獲得獨特的競爭優勢。
