根据调查问卷数据统计的结果,关于被调查者对手机品牌的信息获得途径如(图三)所示,此图描绘了顾客对三星、波导、摩托罗拉三个品牌信息获得途径的差异,从图中可以看出三星、摩托罗拉两个品牌的柱形比较相似,波导在杂志上投放广告的力度较小;在家电商场力度较大,这个和波导手机的定位有一定关系,波导手机定位在中、低档次,一般在杂志广告推销的是较高档的手机。波导这样的广告策略是很有道理的。

产品的购买和使用
本次调查中所收回的100份有效样本中,目前拥有、使用手机的学生有89人,占全部样本的数89%;目前尚未使用手机的人11人,占全部样本数的11%。有近九成的学生已经有了手机,这个比例是非常高的。
在89名使用手机的学生中,手机品牌分布如(图四)所示,从图中可以看出,摩托罗,诺基亚,三星一共占了67%,这三个品牌成为学生选购的主要对象。波导占7%,相对与他的高认知率形成鲜明的对比;而多普达的广告认知率非常低,但是占有率却有10%。一共有16人使用的手机是国产品牌,其余73人使用的是国外品牌。由此看出,现在的学生手机市场,较大部分是被国外品牌所占领,学生喜欢的国内手机品牌寥寥无几。

大学生购买手机主要考虑因素是时尚个性化款式、功能、价格、品牌等,这也成为学生购买手机的四个基本准则。在调查中表明,大学生选择手机时最看重的是手机的外观设计,如形状、大小、厚薄、材料、颜色等,占45%;但大学生也并非一味追求外表漂亮,“内涵”也很重要,所以手机功能也占有一席之位,占40%;其次看重的是价格,而较少看重的是品牌,看来现在的大学生还是比较看重实际的。
根据以上分析,我们认为手机厂商如果明白学生购买手机的主要用途和潜在 需求利益,结合学生特点再在手机功能上下一些功夫,这样设计生产出来的产品将会更容易赢得这一块市场。

所以我们提出以下学生手机概念:学生手机就是在功能上能够为学生的生活学习提供方便,在外观上为学生所喜爱,在价格上能够为大部分学生所接受。
其产品的基本特点有(可参考):
时尚: 个性化的外观设计和功能搭配,时尚的款式和颜色。
实用: 电子词典(汉英互译),电子书(可下载),超强短信息,学生用计算器,笔记薄记录本(可储存公式或其他笔记),智能时间表(计时、提醒)。智能中文输入、来电显示、、电话簿检索、闹钟功能、内置震动和振铃、和弦音乐、智力游戏等。
价廉: 3年的保证使用寿命(更新快),更加实用的功能组合,手机成本低;依托小灵通设计,话费便宜实在。
环保 :手机发射功率极低,辐射极少,对人体无伤害以保护学生的大脑,健康成就未来。
而纵观整个手机市场,目前还没有真正定位于学生的具有时尚、实用、价廉、环保特色的手机产品,所以学生市场还存在这样的市场空白,厂商若能够抓住这个机遇定会获得巨大的发展。
四、小结
综上所述,学生市场是手机市场中的一块大蛋糕,学生对真正的学生手机有着巨大的需求空间,作为一个企业主体,市场需求是第一位的,客户就是上帝,在买方市场下尤其如此。一位经济学家说过,对于市场需求,如果不是想方设法地去满足,那它就是白痴的企业。对于企业来说,只要存在市场需求,就必须想方设法去满足,这样企业才有生机,才能达到效益最大化。
同时,我们知道“第一”胜过“更好”。创造一种新产品,在人们心目中先入为主,比起努力使人们相信你可以比产品首创者提供更好的产品要容易得多。人们对第一印象深刻,对第二、第三却没有兴趣。我们能记住世界上最高的山峰,但对第二高的山峰却印象淡薄。顾客永远是对的,我们无权责备他们,只有尽量的去满足他们,我们才能够取得尽快和长远的发展。
所以,哪个厂商若能够率先设计生产并推出真正的学生手机,那么他们就一定能在学生手机市场乃至整个手机市场上获得独特的竞争优势。
