Chapter 1 Project Background
Beijing JRJ Science and Technology Co. Ltd (jrj co.ltd) has been engaged in medical devices registration and the consult service of medical devices quality certification for many years. We have already established good relationships with government and been familiar with the registration procere and related key processes. Since the success agent business of the insulin needles, our company has laid the groundwork for further strategy development.
In 2004,there were 7,088 medical registration appliances in China, including the category 1 and the category 2,with an increasing rate of 27%. Also, there were 2,137 medical registration appliances in category 3 and its increasing rate was 62%. Among the registration appliances, 84 of them came from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan; which increased at a rate of 110%. The import registration number reached to 2,853,with an increasing rate of 51%. From 2001 to 2004, the total number of medical registration appliances in china was 29,480,with 23,799 in category 1 and category 2 and 5,701 in category 3.There were 178 registration appliances from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, and 7,595 from import. From the data above, we could make a conclusion that the registration number of medical devices has been increasing rapidly these years, which would provide important opportunities to our consult business in this area.
What is more, myriads in the country and counties need to renew their medical devices urgently. It obviously provides a positive environment for us to act as an agent of foreign medical devices.
