yael naim
創作女歌手，並擅長鋼琴演奏.1978年出生於巴黎。4歲去以色列生活。小時候看了電影amadeus後她便決定學鋼琴。之後在音樂學院學習了十年鋼琴。
後來，yael naim對其它音樂類型發生興趣而放棄了古典音樂。她爸爸聽的the beatles 和 aretha franklin她都非常喜歡。從此她開始受到流行、民謠以及爵士的影響。接著yael 開始嘗試作曲，也因此得以釋放自己害羞的個性。此後她也在以色列當地的一些爵士club里演唱，之後兩年裡她在服兵役。不過在服役期間她還是組了一個叫做anti collision的樂團。
2000年，22歲，yael被elie chouraqui發掘，讓她在myriam里扮演mo�0�7se的妹妹/姐姐，長達兩年之久。在此期間，她還演唱電影harrison』s flower的歌曲。
2001年，yael發行了第一張專輯「in a man』s womb」,這是她在paris和los angeles錄制的。可惜專輯並沒有馬上大賣，這又增加了yael的不自信。
2004年，yael認識了樂手david donatien，他們一起製作了新專輯。david鼓勵她用猶太語，英語還有法語演唱,兩人在一起分享交流各自的的音樂經驗，花了2年的時間在yael自己家的錄音室共同策劃製作這張同名專輯<yael naim>，專輯歌曲以希伯萊語及英語演唱，樂器有鋼琴，吉他，沙羅，貝司，打擊，歌曲曲風輕巧攙雜著一些人聲，很多朋友，音樂人參與了歌曲的錄制，如laurent david , yoed nir ,xavier tribolet , julien feltin ,等等。這期間，她跟redy made fc這個樂團合作了「the only one」。
在home studio潛心兩年之後，yael的第二張專輯發行了，時間是2007年10月。主打歌就是new soul.
